Last month, Brave had about 2.8 million users as mentioned by the company in its June blog. Now, as on July 1, it has crossed 3.135 million monthly active users. Apparently, at the beginning of this year i.e. January, this number has been about 1 million. Given the rate these users are growing, the Brave browser will reach its goal of 5 million users before even the year ends. As for the verified publishers, this number has been 16k which has risen to 18K now.
Eich is certainly working on getting people to try out the ad-free browser as part of his comment, States,
“Give Brave a try & take a BAT grant (settings/Payments), if you haven’t yet.”
BAT grant, as per the official website announcement is basically the “$500,000 BAT giveaway per month for browser users, alongside monthly payments to Brave Publishers”.
The grant introduced at the beginning of this month
“which must be used for the benefit of content creators within 90 days come from the User Growth Pool (UGP), a fund of 300 million tokens set up to give users and publishers an incentive to join the BAT platform.”

“BAT team keeps delivering and promising more gold in the future, I just love this project and the team behind it!”
About 15 days back, Brave Browser also launched user trials for the Opt-in ads that reward viewers. This voluntary testing of ad model is only for user trials for now which will later be shown directly in the browser allowing the user to receive 70% of the gross ad revenue while preserving their privacy.
With comments like “Great work! Can’t wait until the attention token ads are live!” and “I ditched google chrome for Brave browser. I tried bat payments to support my fav sites” from BAT enthusiasts, surely shows the devotion and excitement of BAT community.
