Prominent economist and cryptocurrency skeptic Peter Schiff has warned that Bitcoin is on the verge of a significant decline.
“I think risk assets are about to crash hard, led by bitcoin,” Peter Schiff tweeted.
He said that inflationary barriers “are about to break through”, and the leaders of growth will be miners of precious metals.
“As I called my last podcast, gold stocks are technology stocks. Either prepare for this new reality or suffer the consequences,” he wrote.
Schiff regularly lashes out at bitcoin. In early March, amid the banking crisis in the US, he urged his followers to sell bitcoin and other coins, as the industry “waiting for more bankruptcies in the near future.”
At the end of March, he said that the rate of the first cryptocurrency would fall to zero, and in December last year, Schiff said that the first cryptocurrency could fall to $ 5,000. Previously, he said that bitcoin is like a ship that is wrecked.
