The developers of the fintech company Ripple created the Crossmark browser wallet for the XRP Ledger network ecosystem with functionality similar to MetaMask.

“Crossmark is the first browser-based digital wallet built on top of the XRP Ledger and supporting most of the built-in features and types of transactions,” said the team’s lead specialist under the nickname Intercoder.
The extension will be available for Chrome, Opera, Firefox and, according to the developer, is functionally similar to ConsenSys’ MetaMask app.
XUMM mobile XRP wallet can be connected to Crossmark. In the future, integration of other solutions like Gem Wallet and Ledger is also possible.
However, according to the programmer, the tools for interaction between different wallets on the XRP Ledger have not yet been developed.
An early version of Crossmark is already being tested by a limited group of users. The extension is still missing some intended features.
The team is planning a public launch of the modified wallet in the “coming months.”
In May, Ripple launched a platform for issuing CBDCs and stablecoins based on the XRP Ledger.
