Coinbase and Samsung Partners to Expand Crypto Use

Samsung, a South Korean multinational company, is expanding its partnership with Coinbase, a leading U.S. cryptocurrency exchange. According to the announcement, this partnership will provide exclusive benefits to Samsung Galaxy device users.

Samsung’s Strategic Move to Drive Crypto Adoption

Notably, the new collaboration will provide eligible users with three months of free access to Coinbase One, a subscription-based service offered by the exchange. Interestingly, this will enable more people to explore the crypto world.

It is also worth noting that this partnership will affect around 75 million Galaxy users in the United States. With the new integration in Samsung Wallet, users can directly link their accounts to Coinbase and enjoy premium services for three months at no extra cost.

This subscription service improves the crypto trading experience. Key features include no trading fees on many cryptocurrencies, higher staking rewards on certain digital assets, priority customer support, and special offers. Additionally, Samsung is giving users a $25 bonus after they make their first trade on Coinbase through the Samsung Wallet app.

Samsung Floats Virtual Store on Decentraland

Importantly, Samsung is taking another important step in integrating blockchain technology and digital assets into its mobile services. By making it easier to access crypto services through Samsung Wallet, the company is helping new users get started while also encouraging early adoption.

Recall that the American arm of the tech giant floated its Samsung 837x store on Decentraland. This announcement came days after Samsung Electronics announced that it would integrate Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) into its next-generation television sets.

Coinbase Outline Strategy for Users’ Protection

Some weeks ago, Coinbase started implementing certain actions to organize a comprehensive overhaul of its customer support operations. The exchange outlined four key initiatives that it is pushing out to address persistent user complaints. Meanwhile, this comes after the exchange suffered a data breach that negatively impacted 69,461 customers.

To start, the crypto exchange intends to focus on avoiding issues by addressing product problems. Coinbase is also keen on ensuring that customers do not put in so much effort to achieve security.

Furthermore, Coinbase will minimize the interaction with the chatbot. Going forward, they can escalate their issues beyond automated responses to human support representatives.
