Bybit introduces Mastercard debit card

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has launched a debit card in partnership with payment giant Mastercard.

Bybit Card will allow holders to pay for goods and services using a cryptocurrency account. The card is already available in Europe in a virtual format for online transactions. Its physical version will appear in April 2023.

The service supports BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC and XRP. When paying for purchases, digital assets will be automatically converted into fiat and debited from the account.

Bybit Card is issued by London-based payment solutions provider Moorwand.

Crypto exchange CEO Ben Zhou said that thanks to the new solution, users will be able to manage their funds “faster, safer and more conveniently”.

“We are confident that these innovative payment solutions will improve people’s lives and be a step towards a shared bright future for cryptocurrencies and traditional finance,” he added.

As a reminder, Bybit has suspended accepting deposits in US dollars through the SWIFT system and bank transfers due to technical problems “on the partner’s side” until March 10.
