According to the crypto exchange, ChatGPT claims that Changpeng Zhao developed the platform for the China National Petroleum Corporation and is a functionary of the Chinese Communist Party. This, of course, is not true, Patrick Hillmann, director of strategy for the exchange, explained. According to him, the administration of the exchange received a large number of letters and inquiries about whether the founder of Binance was an official of the Chinese Communist Party. Binance analysts were able to figure out that the chatbot is linking to Zhao’s fake Linkedin page and a deleted Forbes article published in 2018 by journalist Pamela Ambler. Forbes and Pamela Ambler did not respond to Binance’s request.
Binance said the information in the material removed by Forbes is inaccurate. The fact is that Zhao worked in the state structure when he was still in high school, so he could not be considered a full-fledged worker.
The head of Binance has repeatedly refuted the information of major American media such as Bloomberg and Forbes, each time explaining this as an attempt to sow fear and doubt in readers about the crypto market.
Last week, Bloomberg published a ranking of “25 financial titans”. The third place on the list was occupied by the CEO of Binance with a capital of $28.2 billion. This is also disinformation, Changpeng Zhao explained.
