Gemini Launches Crypto Derivatives Exchange in 30 Countries

In April, the Gemini exchange, founded by brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, announced the launch of its own platform for crypto derivatives. It will be available to investors outside of US jurisdiction.

The Gemini Foundation was launched in May, about two weeks after the announcement by the company.

The crypto derivatives platform serves traders from Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Switzerland, Bermuda, Turkey, Brazil, Vietnam and other countries. In total, professional investors from 30 countries will be able to use its services.

At the same time, the Gemini Foundation will not be able to work in the European Union, the US and the UK, according to the company’s blog. Traders have access to perpetual bitcoin contracts denominated in the GUSD stablecoin with leverage.

In the coming weeks, the Gemini Foundation plans to release another ETH-GUSD perpetual contract. Both private traders and financial institutions will be able to use the services of the platform.

The new exchange is based in Singapore, according to Fortune. Payments will be made in US currency only.
