Cloud platform Google Cloud has joined the ecosystem of the Tezos blockchain platform as a validator (baker).

The agreement between the parties is aimed at accelerating the development of Web3 applications on the blockchain using the tech giant’s cloud infrastructure.
“At Google Cloud, we provide a secure and reliable infrastructure for founders and developers to innovate and scale their apps. We look forward to ensuring the reliability and scalability of Google Cloud to support Web3 apps on Tezos.” The Block words of the technical director of the direction James Tromans.
Earlier, a division of the French energy company EDF Group became a baker in the Tezos network.
In April 2021, the French gaming giant Ubisoft, known for Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, joined the ecosystem.
Recall that in November 2022, Google Cloud announced the launch of a node in the Solana network and the addition of blockchain support to the Blockchain Node Engine service for Web3 developers.
