In the future, the company plans to increase the daily limit to 100 messages, and also stop counting regular searches in Chat mode.
In addition, the developers announced three new modes that will allow users to choose the tone of communication. Among them:
- accurate – short and targeted messages;
- creative – long and “chatty” answers;
- balanced – a combination of the previous two modes.
Representatives of the company also commented on the restrictions introduced last week. According to the press release, the developers didn’t expect people to use long Bing chats as entertainment.
In turn, the easing of restrictions is an attempt to find a balance between “feedback” in favor of chats with precautionary measures, the company added.
Recall that on February 7, Microsoft introduced an updated Bing search engine with integrated ChatGPT. On the same day, the company opened access to it to a limited number of people.
A week later, users complained about the strange behavior of the chatbot. The company explained this by the fact that the basic model of the search engine is “confused” in sessions with 15 or more messages.
On February 17, developers introduced limits on the number of messages in Bing chats. Also, the search engine stopped discussing a number of topics, including its own work.
