The Near Protocol team introduced the Blockchain Operation System (BOS) solution, which they positioned as “an operating system for blockchains.”
#NEAR announced today @NEARProtocol is now becoming the Blockchain Operating System.

According to Ilya Polosukhin, co-founder of the project, the platform is designed for more convenient interaction with the Web3 segment. Currently, the development is compatible with Near Protocol and Ethereum Virtual Machine, but other blockchains will become available in the future.
The operating system is designed to help developers create and launch new products.
“A composable decentralized frontend as a framework can work with any Web 2.0 or Web3 service, as well as crypto wallets,” added the co-founder of Near.
As BOS evolves, it will create a bridge for seamless, programmable interaction between different blockchains.
Polosukhin also noted that the operating system “creates a single entry point” for all users and developers. The main idea of the project is to unite all Web3 applications in one place.
Recall that in February, New York University entered into a partnership agreement with the non-profit organization Near Foundation to launch a Web3 training course.
