On March 22, in anticipation of the Arbitrum airdrop, the daily number of transactions in the network reached a new historical maximum – 1,312,052. This is evidenced by the data of the on-chain browser Arbiscan.
For comparison, on the same day, the Ethereum network processed 1.07 million transactions.
Arbitrum’s previous peak of 1.1 million was recorded on February 21st. For all the time, the Ethereum-network of the second level has processed 155.4 million transactions.
Since the announcement of the airdrop, the number of active network addresses has increased by more than 50% to 3.87 million.
According to 0xroll on Dune Analytics625,143 wallets are eligible for the airdrop.
The team will distribute 44% of the total supply of 10 billion ARB to early adopters and investors. Additional community and DAO will receive assets that will allow them to control 56% of the votes. The first stage includes the distribution of 12.75% of the total number of coins.
8.11% of airdrop participants confirmed that they will list ARB on decentralized exchanges, according to an analyst under the pseudonym The Data Nerd.

Amid the hype leading up to the token giveaway, journalist Colin Wu reported on a new scam. According to him, a fake ETH / ARB pool appeared on the Uniswap crypto exchange, which contains 400 wrapped ETH and more than 95 million fake Arbitrum tokens.

Several security companies have previously warned the community about fake ARB airdrop sites.
In addition, Arkham experts reported that the hacker sent small amounts of Ethereum to several hacked wallets to redirect Arbitrum tokens.
Recall that even before the official distribution, the community began to sell unreleased ARBs on OTC markets. BitMEX has issued futures for future Arbitrum coins, which peaked at $1.77.
Cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Huobi set a listing date ARB on March 23rd.
