For 2022, the revenue of the Riot mining company amounted to $259.2 million. This is stated in press release.
During the reporting period, the bitcoin miner mined 5554 BTC, which is 46% more than in 2021. Riot Platforms CEO Jason Les also announced a tripling of the hash rate, which reached 9.7 EH / s.
“Riot’s industry-leading financial strength gives us the edge to deliver on aggressive growth plans in 2023 and beyond,” he added.
Les noted that in 2022, the income from mining the first cryptocurrency decreased significantly due to the depreciation of the asset.
Riot also sent separate document to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, according to which there are accounting errors in the financial statements for 2020 and 2021. The company promised to send corrected versions within 15 days.
The company’s securities reacted weakly to the report (+0.65% per day).
Recall that in January 2023, Riot sold 700 BTC worth approximately $13.7 million.
