US presidential candidate vows to fire bitcoin opponents from SEC
Politician Robert Kennedy, who is running for President of the United States, represents the bitcoin camp.
In April, he stated that cryptocurrency should be considered as a safe-haven asset. With its help, you can save and increase your own capital.
Now the presidential candidate has lashed out at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Kennedy demanded that the regulator soften its position in relation to digital currencies. The politician threatened that when he takes over as head of state, he will achieve the exclusion from the SEC of opponents of the industry and BTC in particular.
He emphasized:
I do not need the services of those people in the SEC who are against cryptocurrencies. Only representatives of the crypto community or employees who are at least neutral towards digital assets should work in the department.
In addition, Kennedy demanded that the SEC promptly clarify its position on the digital currency market, which has not yet been legalized in the United States.
He was among those American politicians who accept donations in bitcoin.
