Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has stated that he does not stake large amounts of Ethereum coins. He is unsure about the security of multi-signature-backed funds.
The businessman voiced his opinion during an episode of the Bankless podcast:
For this reason, the Ethereum co-founder stakes only a small fraction of his Ether.
Buterin’s comments shocked the crypto community and competitors from other ecosystems. Charles Hoskinson of Cardano even clarified that he has staked all of his ADA coins:
I had to listen to this a few times. I’m just at a loss for words. All of our Ada is staked. Guess what that’s how it’s supposed to be for a properly designed Proof of Stake protocol. https://t.co/ye6va1DH06

Buterin also discussed the EigenLayer protocol, which allows Ethereum validators and stakers to re-stake their assets on other emerging networks. This protocol is currently in the testing phase. It is scheduled to launch in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
Buterin said the main problem with EigenLayer is the risk of centralization. Therefore, it is now important to set limits that will benefit the ecosystem and prevent all threats.
The other day, Vitalik Buterin commented on what will happen to Ethereum after the ban on many competitors in the US.
