CEO Messari announces 15% staff cuts

Messari laid off 15% of employees. This was announced by the founder and head of the analytical company Ryan Selkis.

“Yesterday we made the difficult decision to restructure several internal teams, resulting in a 15% reduction in staff. We are grateful for the contributions of our departed colleagues and will provide resources and connections to help you find a new job,” he wrote.

Selkis said that Messari still has some open positions that it plans to hire employees for. He also said the move would provide the company with a “stronger footing in the long run.”

Until March, Microsoft intends to lay off about 10,000 people. Payments company PayPal will cut 2,000 employees, or about 7% of the state.

Since the beginning of the year, layoffs have been reported by Coinbase, ConsenSys, Genesis Trading, Blockchain.com, Gemini, Luno, Matrixport, Chainalysis, Bittrex and other crypto companies.

Recall that in September 2022, Messari raised $35 million as part of a Series B funding round. It was headed by the Brevan Howard Digital division of billionaire Alan Howard.
