Court of First Instance in Podgorica (capital of Montenegro) decided release Do Kwon and his associate Han Chang-jun under house arrest. The reason for this was the work of lawyers: they provided more detailed information about their financial situation.
Details can be read in the official court order. Themis recalled that prosecutors had previously appealed the bail so that the accused remained behind bars. But the lawyers insisted that the bail would not be paid from the pocket of Do Kwon (read – deceived clients of Terra). This amount was decided to pay by two women who wished to remain anonymous. And the amount of the deposit decreased to 400 thousand euros (was 437 thousand)
Prosecutors have the right to appeal the said decision within 3 days. In case of escape of the defendants or violation of the supervisory measure, the bail is canceled and credited to a special section of the budget.
Kwon and Joon’s next trial will take place on June 16. They were arrested at Podgorica airport on March 23 on charges of trying to fly out of the country on fake passports. Kwon and his friend denied allegations of forged travel documents.
Kwon also denies all allegations against him. He acknowledged that mistakes were made in the Terra-Luna project, managed by Terraform Labs. But the businessman claims that he never had the intention of defrauding investors.
